Via Kate, something to keep me busy until Doctor Who comes on Children in Need (which of course everyone has donated to, right? :).

2. Where were your parents born? Leeds and Bolton I think.
3. What is the last thing you downloaded onto your computer? Updates for Gentoo Linux.
4. Have you ever been in a school play? Yes, I’ve been the First Narrator (not an exciting role, basically it was my job to speak first and to give everyone else their cues), one of the doves in Noah’s Ark (anyone know how much of a pain in the backside it is to find white shorts? I do! 🙂 and I’m pretty sure I did some other stuff as well. I was told I was pretty good at death scenes when they were required (far too often in my case!).
5. Type of music you dislike most? Anything played too loud.
6. Are you registered to vote? Of course.
7. Do you have a car? No, although I have a provisional licence and I need to learn at some point (must remember to speak to Terry about it).
8. Have you ever ridden on a moped? I don’t remember having ever done so, I might have been on one of my uncle’s bikes when I was younger though.
9. Ever prank call anybody? Probably at some point.
10. Ever got a parking ticket? I don’t own a motor vehicle, not that this would make any difference to some of the parking wardens in Bury.
11. Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving? Possibly, I wouldn’t do it on my own though.
12. Furthest place you ever travelled? Paris.
13. Do you have a garden? Not at my flat, we have a front and back garden at Bury though.
14. What’s the size of your bed? Double, though not sure whether it’s anything else (King/Queen/Jack whatever 🙂
15. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem? I should do, but we were never taught it at school for some reason. It’s probably considered politically incorrect to sing it nowadays anyway.
16. Bath or Shower, morning or night? Shower in the mornings, possibly bath in the evening if I’ve been to Aikido.
17. Best movie you’ve seen in the past 4 months? Probably Madagascar, as that had me in stiches all the way through. Not sure if that was in the last four months though.
18. What’s the next movie you want to see? There isn’t anything that I’m rushing to the cinema to see, although I’d like to go to Harry Potter at some point.
19. Have you ever broken any hearts? I very much doubt it!
20. Are you a good cook? I used to be ok, haven’t really got time to sit down at make stuff at the moment though – far too busy!

23. Favorite type of drink? Probably coffee, although I’m leaning more towards tea and hot chocolate nowadays.
24. Best thing in the world? Doing “stuff” (doesn’t matter what that is) with someone you get on really well with.
25. Have you ever broken a bone? No.
26. Have you ever won a trophy? No, because they give loads of these things out for sport but never recognise academic achievement. And yes, I am bitter about that. 🙂

34. Do you believe in love at first sight? Not really, but that’s probably because most of the people I’ve ever liked have been friends first.
35. How many pairs of shoes do you own? One pair for normal use, and a smart pair makes two, although I may still have some trainers knocking about somewhere – need to find them for the gym next week.
36. Last song stuck in your head? I woke up on Tuesday morning to Walking on Broken Glass by Annie Lennox playing in my head – I blame Graham for playing it on the jukebox at Warped!
37. Any pets? Not allowed any where I am now, and I doubt I’d have time to properly care for any pets at the moment.

39. What do you do when you are bored? Surf the Internet (although I do that when I’m not bored as well 🙂
40. Bacon sandwiches – should they have bread or toast? They should be on thick white bread with lots of margarine. Who cares about calories and chloresterol anyway?
meh, i’ve never really seen the attraction of learning latin etc. Much better to know many usable languages. But I suck at that too.
My friend mike is currently learnign latin, but he knows almost every language under the sun, and muchos respect for that 🙂
There was a comment on QI last night about taking Stephen Fry along to a pub quiz and pretending he was someone else who just looked like him.
Until he started swearing in Latin 🙂
I saw that QI episode, as usual it had me in stiches – although I’m annoyed that I forgot to go and visit the QI Bookshop when I was in Oxford.
I don’t think Latin would be particularly useful, although it does help in understanding some other languages, but it would be cool to speak and write it fluently.
I was going to learn Ancient Greek this year. I decided to do Philosophy and ethics insted though because I thought they would help me more in the future but I do intend on going back to learn ancient Greek in the future.
My mate is doing it now. He says it’s dead hard but the good thing is you spell how you say. Where as English most of the words have silent letters in and what not.
Yeah I want to learn ancient Greek. Just to sound clever!
Latin is not cool in any way. I know this from experience.
