Benevolent realist

Almost everything has been going wrong since Sunday, which has been rather annoying and meant that I’ve been really fed up and ill towards the end of the week. I still wasn’t feeling great at Blackpool either, by the middle of the afternoon I was fatigued and I ended up going home early as a result. I’m a bit better today, but I’m still not sure about things that are on my mind. I did have a nice lunch made for me on Wednesday though, and I’d completely forgotten that I’d pre-ordered Red Dwarf series VIII a while back (it’s probably the worst one of all, but there are a couple of episodes that are watchable and now I have the whole set).

At the moment I’m back in Bury for a couple of days, with the intention of getting as much work done on my project report as possible. I’m aiming to write about one thousand words every day for the next week or so, which at the moment isn’t proving too difficult. The idea is to write as much as possible and produce a draft that I can then edit down by cutting out any cruft. Hopefully I’ll have something that I can show to my supervisor by Wednesday or Thursday as well. I’ve managed to write a couple of hundred words so far today without really thinking, so I think I’ll manage to get enough done by the middle of the week.

Apparently I’m also a benevolent realist (the results are almost spot on, which is rather disturbing, although I suppose they’re generic enough to be interpreted in different ways).

Anyway, I’d best get back to work, as well as my project report I have hundreds of pages of textbooks and lecture notes to read over the “vacation”, and no doubt I will have more work dumped on me at some point. All the extra books I ordered have arrived as well, so I have an even bigger pile of reading to get through (I really like reading, but there’s so much of it at the moment).
