Seven deadly sins

I saw this courtesy of Kate on my friends list and I haven’t done a meme in a while so here goes…

ANGER
1. Who did you last get angry with?
I honestly can’t remember, some people have annoyed me recently but I haven’t jumped up and down and yelled at anyone for some time.

2. What is your weapon of choice?
My sarcasm and my subtle but sharp comments.

3. Would you hit a member of the opposite sex?
No

4. How about of the same sex?
In self defence yes, otherwise no (excluding friendly jabs).

5. Who was the last person who got really angry at you?
I don’t think anyone has got really angry with me for a while, I’ve certainly annoyed a couple of people but other than that I’m not sure.

6. What is your pet peeve?
I’m not sure, but prejudice based on political affiliation has got to be up there along with people who think the world revolves around them, dishonesty and the inability to keep a secret.

7. Do you keep grudges, or can you let them go easily?
I used to keep them, but now I’ve found I can let go without much trouble, if indeed I get any in the first place.

SLOTH
1. What is one thing you’re supposed to do daily that you haven’t done in a long time
I don’t think there is anything.

2. What is the latest you’ve ever woken up?
2pm, I really can’t stay asleep beyond midday though usually.

3. Name a person you’ve been meaning to contact, but haven’t?
Not contact as such, but I keep meaning to go down and see Andy in Bristol at some point.

4. What is the last lame excuse you made?
I’m too shy!

5. Have you ever watched an infomercial all the way through (one of the long ones…)?
Not that I know of.

6. When was the last time you got a good workout in?
I pass a gym on the way into university each day – that counts as a workout from my perspective. 😉

7. How many times did you hit the snooze button on your alarm clock today?
0, I’m usually fairly good at getting up when the alarm goes off.

GLUTTONY
1. What is your overpriced yuppie beverage of choice?
Coffee in Starbucks.

2. Meat eaters: white meat or dark meat?
Hmm, that’s a difficult one, but I’d probably have to say dark meat because I love a good steak.

3. What is the greatest amount of alcohol you’ve had in one sitting/outing/event?
I honestly can’t remember, but I had far too much on the first night of fresher’s week.

4. Have you ever used a professional diet company?
Rofl, if I dieted I’d disappear! There’d be nothing left.

5. Do you have an issue with your weight?
I don’t have an “issue” with it, I’m happy with how much I weigh but I’m pretty sure I’m classed as being clinically underweight which is probably a bad thing. I really can’t put any on though, no matter what and how much I eat.

6. Do you prefer sweets, salty foods, or spicy foods?
Probably sweets.

7. Have you ever looked at a small house pet or child and thought, “LUNCH”?
No

LUST
1. How many people have you seen naked (not counting movies/family)?
Not sure to be honest.

2. How many people have seen YOU naked (not counting physicians/family)?
Again, not sure. 🙂 I don’t keep count.

3. Have you ever caught yourself staring at the chest/crotch of a member of your gender of choice during a normal conversation?
Only if you count “normal” as “a conversation in which someone is draping themselves over you” 🙂

4. Do you have a crush?
Apparently so, Kirk seems to think I like Miss Lol . (no this not real before anyone asks).

5. What is your favorite body part on a person of your gender of choice?
Legs

6. Have you ever been propositioned by a prostitute?
Not that I’m aware of!

7. Have you ever had to get tested for an STD or pregnancy?
Nope, but then I’m fairly sure I don’t need testing for pregnancy unless I end up like Lister from Red Dwarf. 🙂

GREED
1. How many credit cards do you own?
Two, although I’m stupidly sensible with money so I wouldn’t really count it as greed.

2. What’s your guilty pleasure store?
Any bookshop, I can spend ages in there and come out with a hole in my bank account.

3. If you had $1 million, what would you do with it?
First I’d convert it to Sterling. 😉 Then I’d pay off my parent’s mortgage, buy myself a nice little one bedroom apartment in Manchester, put part of the rest into a safe savings fund, part into the stock market and use about £50,000 to start my own business.

4.Would you rather be rich or famous?
I think they often go hand in hand, but I’d rather be neither – just well off enough to not have any money problems. If I was rich I’d probably give most of it away anyway.

5. Would you accept a boring job if it meant you would make megabucks?
Probably, although I’m a workaholic so a boring job might not appeal to me that much.

6. Have you ever stolen anything?
I can’t steal.

7. How many MP3s are on your hard drive?
Only a few, Ogg Vorbis rules!

PRIDE
1. What’s one thing you’ve done that you’re most proud of?
Not sure to be honest, standing up by myself in front of a lecture theatre containg about 200 people to tell them about CS-LUG probably comes fairly high on the list since that was rather nervewracking. Walking into a company at fifteen and coming out with a contract to design their web site (at professional rates) is probably what I’m most proud of though. My work experience report was also something I like to look back on as a good moment.

2. What’s one thing have you done that your parents are most proud of?
Probably winning the computing award at sixth form for getting the highest mark in the year, although I don’t know why.

3. What’s one thing that you would like to accomplish in your life?
Big goals but I’d like to get into a position where I could either cancel Third World Debt or negociate peace somewhere in the world (Northern Ireland or the Middle East probably). If I can’t do that then just doing something that makes people’s lives better would be nice.

4. Do you get annoyed by coming in second place?
No, so long as I know why – I only get annoyed if the person who came in first really didn’t work all that hard to get there.

5. Have you ever entered a contest of skill, knowing you were of much higher skill that the competitors?
No, winning against people who you are obviously better than isn’t a challenge and is just plain boring. It’s much more fun to go in against people who are much more highly skilled, that way if you lose you know you were up against someone better anyway, and if you win victory is even sweeter.

6. Have you ever cheated on something to get a higher score?
No.

7. What did you do today that you’re proud of?
Got up early and went to fix Compsoc, despite the fact that I didn’t get to bed until about 2am.

ENVY
1. What item (or person) of your friends would you most want to have for your own?
I can’t really think of any inanimate object that my friends have and that I want. I like Mike’s Mac Mini but if I really wanted it I’d just go and buy my own anyway so it’s not really envy. As for person there isn’t anyone I want “for my own” so to speak.

2. Who would you want to go on “Trading Spaces” with?
It’s got to be Tony Blair (assuming Trading Spaces is a TV show where you swap jobs for a day or something). I’d so love to run the country for a few days whilst letting him run up debt and try and pay tuition fees, might make him a bit more sympathetic towards students.

3. If you could be anyone else in the world, who would you be?
No-one. I like who I am and if I changed that I wouldn’t be me. I wouldn’t mind swapping places with some people sometimes but I wouldn’t want to be them.

4. Have you ever been cheated on?
No idea, I doubt it though. I’ve had people stab me in the back however.

5. Have you ever wished you had a physical feature different from your own?
Yes, a face that makes me look my age rather than like a twelve year old. 🙂

6. What inborn trait do you see in others that you wish you had for yourself?
Optimism, not sure if it’s inborn though.

7. Do you wish you’d come up with this survey?
No, because I’d have wasted even more time on it.

8. Finally, what is your favorite deadly sin?
Probably pride.
