I’m back in Bury for the moment to deliver my sister’s birthday present, seeing as I forgot to take it on Tuesday when I went into town with Kirk. I can’t believe how cold it is this side of Manchester, we’ve had snow falling today and it’s freezing outside (as well as in here, because we’re having the loft done and the builders leave the door open to let the dust out). So now I’m sitting here in my old room, shivering and trying to keep warm. 🙁
In other news, the long awaited film night has had to be put on hold, mainly because of people’s work committments, which is a shame because I’d arranged most of today assuming that was going ahead. I had intended to do a round sweep, going from Manchester to Bury, dropping off present and picking up DVDs, get OS X book in Bury, see Oxfam people and then sweep round through Salford to pick up Ed, drop off a book at Kate’s (assuming I can find it) then go to Tesco before getting the bus back with Ed and Kirk. Ah well, even the best laid plans can get stuffed up sometimes.
It’s also looking like two of my software engineering group haven’t done their share of the work, which means there will probably be a panic on Sunday with the rest of us trying to get it all done on time.
At the moment I’m not sure whether to stay at home and try and blag a lift back from my dad, or just go back on the bus now. I’m leaning more towards the bus option, but then I might end up hitting the school run which I don’t really want.
For those of you who are wondering where my political rants about the upcoming election are, the answer is that I’ve put them into a separate blog to follow the events running up to Labour’s crushing defeat (one can but hope! 🙂 at Election 2005.
Anyway, back to work, trying to keep warm and being most amused by my horoscope. 🙂
We had a bit of the coldness in Lancaster today with snow, buts its really incredibly sunny and makes the whole place seem so much nicer.
And gah, more blogs to subscribe to!
Twas cold in Manchester (and Bury) indeed…
Yeah, Bury has been cold.
Liverpool has been nice and sunny but the wind cuts straight through you.
