Keys to flat

Finally got the keys to my flat yesterday evening and stayed the night after role playing. The kitchen and the bathroom are a bit grubby but the landlord is supposedly sending someone in to put new sealant around the bath this week and also hopefully plumb the washing machine in (I think he’s realised now that I’m not likely to let that one pass me by). It feels rather empty with it just being me there

I also managed to get everything sorted with regards to bills this evening, which was quite impressive seeing as I don’t normally get back home before 6:30pm and most of the utility companies stop taking calls after 7-8pm. The meter readings are all sorted, thankfully water is based on rates so I have a fixed monthly fee which is easier to budget for, and my phone line will be activated tomorrow morning so I can start the process of setting up broadband.

So, in a couple of weeks I will hopefully be settled into my first real “own” place (my “bachelor’s pad” as I believe Peter described it :). House warming will probably be forthcoming at some point if enough people pester me about it.

Will probably post something about work and role playing tomorrow when I get home.
