Ten years after my last piece of work made it into print (a poem that was part of a compilation called All Aboard for Lancashire), I’ve got my book review published in the latest UKUUG newsletter, which came in the post today. I can’t really explain this to anyone who hasn’t had their work published, but it’s a warm fuzzy feeling when you hear that something you’ve written is going to be in a newsletter distributed to thousands of people across the country (many of whom know far more about Unix than I do), and even more so when you actually see the hard copy.
Unfortunately I can’t post the review here because the UKUUG owns the copyright, but they usually post a PDF of the newsletter on their website so I will add a link to that once it’s been uploaded.
Hurrah! well done!
Thanks, I’ve been waiting for what seems like forever for it to be published. Hopefully I’ll get the opportunity to review another book for the next magazine now that I’ve shown that I can deliver on time.
